Fall Break, Football, Fifth Birthday Party

Emmaline has really begun to notice more and more in her ever expanding world. She loves her mobile! She begins to smile and coo every time she sees the duckies, especially when they start to move. On her play mat, there are several hanging animals/things that she enjoys watching too. They are low enough so that they move when she inadvertently reaches out and knocks them which she throughly enjoys.

Tummy time has its benefits. Emmaline is definitely getting stronger every day. We tried her in the bumbo seat on the floor and she was able to wobble sit by herself for a few minutes. I think she might be able to use it and the exersaucer by the time I head back to work after Thanksgiving, giving Doug two more options for Emmaline entertainment.

Carlye spent Fall Break with Emmaline and I. We enjoyed our day visiting, getting a tasty lunch, and going to Memorial park. Thank you for all of our goodies! Check out our awesome new diapers in the pictures below at Wyatt's party. :-) They were pretty neat in the black light. Thank you Oglethorpe friends!

Emmaline & I went to a wedding on Saturday for a friend of mine from work. Thank you Dellaina & Ida for all the beautiful clothes to choose from. We enjoyed dressing up our little girl.

Happy 5th Birthday, Wyatt!

We celebrated Wyatt's birthday at a super cool Monster Mini Indoor Golf place. They had black lights so it made for some fun pictures. Check out the one of Grandaddy and Emmaline. :-) After the party, we headed back to Andi & Greg's to hang out and play with new toys. Uncle Doug was excited to share the 3D models he's been making in Google SketchUp. Dellaina and Wyatt had fun adding their personal touches to Doug's computer creations and then even more fun coloring them in.

Octoberfest & Lake Life

Tummy Time
Emmaline just had her 2 month check up and is doing very well. :-) She got her first shot since leaving the hospital. She handled it much better than mom and dad. At the office visit, our pediatrician said that a pediatric physical therapist recently told her that 3 month old babies should be working towards five 15 minute periods of tummy time per day(!). Tummy-time is like jazzercise for babies, but the music and dancing are optional ;). We've been doing about 1 a day, but we are trying to ramp up. Also, we are counting those times she lays on our chest and snuggles after eating; we could all use a few more reps like that. :-) Below are pictures from a recent tummy time session. Moxie was very interested and kept checking on Emmaline.

Octoberfest
We attended the Octoberfest festival at school. Who could resist dressing up like a giraffe?! Believe it or not, Emmaline was wide awake until we started walking through the festival at which point she fell deeply asleep. We made one loop around seeing lots of school friends and families. They are definitely looking forward to me coming back to school the week after Thanksgiving.

Lake Life
After Octoberfest, we headed down to the Lake for the weekend. We had a great time enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Doug and Trippe played golf at Uncle Remus on Saturday while Evelyn, Morgan, & Emmaline went for a walk around the circle and relaxed on the deck. On Sunday, everyone had projects they were planning. We eventually made our way outside to work on some of them.

Still trying to capture her beautiful smile on camera.

Emmaline was just jabbering and smiling Saturday morning.

Every time I would take a picture, she would stop smiling or turn away.

almost...sigh...more Elvis like than Emmaline

Beautiful! Just need to add trim and supports, then stain.

Post Lake
We always smile at the girls after we come home from the Lake because they are so tired from having such a good time. Well, look at all our pooped girls the night we came home from the Lake!
